James Stewart wins the US Open
Night two of the 2009 Rockstar Energy U.S. Open of Supercross is in the books and as expected, it was James Stewart who took the win—but it didn't come easy. Number seven had to play catch-up to Ryan Villopoto who nailed the holeshot in the main event. Stew made quick work of Dan Reardon who was in second, and then straight-up reeled in Villopoto—passing him and eventually running away with the win. Unfortunately Stewart didn't pull his signature whip off the finish line, but I guess his double fist pump will have to do.
During the entire event, Mike Mason took us around the pits, hassling the riders and getting them to answer our intrusive questions. So be sure to stay tuned for our behind-the-scenes video from the U.S. Open here in beautiful (depends on how intoxicated you are) Las Vegas, Nevada.
